Elder Abuse Awareness

Financial exploitation and other forms of elder abuse are on the rise in Ohio. Attorney General Dave Yost launched a statewide campaign to raise awareness of the various types of abuse and to encourage all of us to report these crimes. Estimates show that 1 in 10 Ohioans age 60 or older suffer abuse, and only 1 in 5 cases are ever reported. Watch the video below, where several Ohio victims share their stories to help educate other victims about elder abuse and educate all of us about how to identify abuse in those we know and love.
