Caring for a spouse or parent is physically and emotionally demanding. Caregivers may feel helpless, overwhelmed and need help. We offer a variety of support services to help relieve caregiver stress.
Adult Day Care
Our adult day center provides care for frail, elderly adults who cannot stay at home alone.
In-home respite care, provided by a certified home health aide, is available to unpaid 24-hour caregivers.
I have not met anybody (at CSS) - I mean not anybody, that wasn’t wonderful. You just come home and count your blessings.
Support Group Participant
Support groups provide an opportunity for caregivers to share their feelings and frustrations with others. Meetings include both planned and informal discussions. Time is spent discussing specific caregiver problems and sharing information about community resources, understanding aging, and learning caregiver skills.
Information and Referral
Care Management is available for a caregiver to consult with a social worker or nurse about the needs of an elderly family member.
