Screenings include blood pressure checks, blood profiles, mammograms, flu immunization and
pneumonia vaccination. Health education programs are provided at our
activity centers. Transportation is available for
health screening appointments if made in advance.

Blood Pressure Screening
Monthly blood pressure checks are provided at many of our
activity centers in Clermont County in collaboration with various health care
providers. There is no fee for this service.
Mammography
A mammogram is a special X-ray technique used to create an
image of the internal structure of the breast for early detection of breast
cancer.
Mammograms are conducted annually at designated activity
centers in cooperation with the Mercy Health Partners Breast Screening Program.
Medicare will pay for the screening once every year.
If you do not have Medicare or a supplemental insurance plan that will cover the
cost of the screening, you will need to pay for the screening at the time of the
service.
Flu Immunization / Pneumonia Vaccine
Flu immunizations and pneumonia vaccines are offered
annually, usually in October and November, in cooperation with the Clermont
County General Health District. Dates and sites vary.
The Ohio Department of Health recommends that all persons
65 years of age or older and those who have certain chronic illnesses be
immunized against the flu.
Fees are charged for these services. Both injections
are covered by Medicare Part B. If you are covered by an HMO, you will
need to pay at the time of service.
Health Education
Health literature is provided monthly at activity centers
and senior housing complexes.
Health education programs are presented regularly at
activity centers. Programs include information on nutrition, exercise, home
safety and other senior health issues.

Senior Health Fair
Clermont Senior Services sponsors an annual health fair
each Fall. Many vendors participate and
offer information relative to older adult lifestyles.
A number of health screenings are offered, such as blood
profiles, blood pressure checks, bone density scans, mammograms, etc. Some
are offered for a fee and require an appointment made in advance.
Workshops are offered throughout the day.
Transportation is available for health screening
appointments. Arrangements must be made in advance.
